Dieppe is the gathering of 37 countries. We can't present all of them. There was, of course, our friend Désiré of Martinique, with his leaves kites , Ines and Jairo of Colombia, Rafael and Marco Coyote of Guatemala… And all the others, and we were glad to meet them every two years, even if we are in contact with a the lot of them via e-mails.

Wen-Fu Tsai came with his team of 'Taiwan Yunin Association of kite Development' to show six splendid trains of kites on the theme of fauna and the flora : dogs, birds, water melons, koalas, leaves … Wen-Fu make the train of leaves for the competition. It will not award a prize, but will receive the bronze medal for the “coup de coeur ” of the CVCF. This train is composed of 150 leaves (fabric nylon painted) for a length of 150m.

Remain in Asia, with very different Chinese style. Li Ruo Xin (on the left) makes the very small and elegant kite, as this small butterfly which flies very well. Pan Bo works also the bamboo, but for kites much larger, as with this head of dragon.

| Indonesia, represented by Bali Kite Association, fly Bebean and Jangang kite which decorated the sky during long time. The Team Mangalore, India, flies its large kite (on the right) which holds the national record in Limca (book of records).

Michael Alvarez (Perth, Australia), built large cellular kites. George Peters always so present on the lawns of Dieppe with its very coloured banners and his kites.

The team of Michel Gressier represents the French delegation. They will put a maximum of kites in the sky, the 'couronnes', the fibules, the flowform and will even make demonstrations of revo. Michel, make a kite for the “Défi pour la Terre” and another kite with the Maori motifs and colors. On the right, Nick James and his angel kite.

The kites which can't fly are put down on the lawn, near the fences so that the public can discover them. And sometimes, when it's possible (same language), the creators can explain how is to make and how that flies.

Takeoff "coccinelles" for the CVCF… which will end in a fight of ladybirds, which said “Fight”? We did not follow the championship of the fighting kites. Naser says to the members of Manjha Club he is able to enter his small kite by a window in the opposite building.

There is also on the lawn, old kites and the replica, like "la demoiselle" of santos Dumont by Maxime, who flies better and better (not maxim, but his "Demoiselle"). Thierry Nenot flies his old kites near the train of Saconney of Fabrice Mahieux.

We meet again Christian, whom we had left at "Envols de Meudon", ready to fly Gibson Girl. This kite which was useful during the Second World War has a very stable flight, and has two points for its line.

On the shingle beach, teddy bears, octopuses, dogs take their take-off, for the pleasure of children and their parents. The inflatable structures have a considerable presence in the sky. Clyde is deep in conversation with the orange dog. A little nostalgia a few hours before the end of the festival?
